We receive questions on a regular basis regarding pet insurance. While we do not have a specific company or product that we recommend, there are some things to consider when investigating what would work best for you and your pet. Here are some questions to consider when choosing medical insurance for your pet:
Dear Schmitt's Animal Hospital Family,
Thank you for the many cards, well wishes, kind words, memories, and gifts in celebration of my retirement. Now available at Schmitt's Animal Hospital: Simparica TRIO! Simparica TRIO is the first monthly chewable tablet that covers heartworms, intestinal parasites, fleas, and ticks all in one pill. We are excited to be able to offer owners another option for keeping their dogs healthy and parasite free.
Simparica TRIO is a completely different medication than Simparica, so the two are not to be confused. Regular Simparica is a monthly flea and tick preventative only and is to be paired with a monthly heartworm prevention. We know there are a lot of different options for parasite prevention in your dog, and that can be overwhelming. Let's have a discussion today about which prevention method is best for you and your family! Youch! Louie had a little run in with a porcupine while hunting with his owner. With some mild sedation Dr. Jones removed 22 quills from Louie's face and paw. Once he was quill free, he was good as new and ready to go home!
