National Veterinary Technician Week: Sarah DeYoung, LVT, VTS (CP)

We are kicking off National Veterinary Technician Week with Sarah DeYoung, LVT, VTS (CP). Sarah is Schmitt's Head Licensed Veterinary Technician and has been here since 2001. Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to improving the lives of animals and their humans. Our clients and patients love her, and it is easy to see why. • What is your favorite genre of music and favorite artist/band?
  Favorite genre is Country or Praise + Worship. No favorite artist/band, but top choices are Josh Groban, Garth Brooks, and Rascal Flatts.
  
• What is the best concert you have ever attended?
  Garth Brooks at Notre Dame Stadium
  
• Where is your favorite place in the world?
  Home first, then Sunset Beach, NC
  
• If you could be any animal, what would you be?
  Cat - love to sleep in the sunshine
  
• What is the last book you read?
  Weekends with Daisy
  
• What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
  I'm not a crazy person so I live through my husband who does all the crazy stuff. If I had to pick - getting a tattoo.
  
• What are you currently watching on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime?
  The Office, Blue Planet, and Magic School Bus with my son :)
  
• Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
  A National Geographic photographer who photographs wild animals around the world
• What's the best meal you have ever had?
  Leo's in downtown GR - amazing crab cakes, steak & dessert
  
• If you could visit anywhere in the world you've never been, where would you go?
  Alaska!
  
• What are some of your pet peeves?
  Social media posts with bad grammar, misspelling and no punctuation. Slow drivers. Dogs that pull on leashes. When people don't pick up after themselves. Being late.
  
• Who was your first celebrity crush?
  Vin Diesel
  
• What job did you have in high school?
  I worked at The Tract League mailing out orders for religious pamphlets
  
• If you could choose a name for yourself, what would it be?
  I really like my name but if I had to pick a new one it would probably be Hannah (after my grandma)

  The Spice Girls - If You Wanna Be My Lover
